One of the best ways to get your foot in the door is to find contacts at the company who can help introduce you to the hiring manager. The LinkedIn company pages will show you your contacts at the company. Reach out to them letting them know if your interested in their company and ask if they can help make an introduction with the Hiring Manager. All of these steps will help you find a job in Asheville.

Try to collect their direct number and email, then send them a follow up thank you for their time. Make sure you DO follow up in the future. Not only will this get your foot in the door, it’s a good illustration of your enthusiasm and interest.
If you are you a college graduate, check with your career services office or alumni office and inquire if there is a database of alumni you can get in touch with. Many college and universities have alumni and parents who have volunteered to help with career networking.
